Diese "Einschienenbahn", die Anton Schwarzkopf
konstruiert hat, ist meiner Meinung nach eine der elegantesten überhaupt.
Dies gilt für die formschönen, klimatisierten Züge gleichermaßen wie für die
filigrane Fahrschiene. Die Fahrschiene besteht aus einem Tragrohr, an dessen Seiten
L-Profile angebracht sind. Diese L-Profile bilden die eigentliche Fahrbahn, auf der die
Züge mit herkömmlichen, luftgefüllten Gummireifen laufen. Ein drittes Profil befindet
sich auf der Oberseite vom Tragrohr. Die in horizontaler Position befindlichen
Antriebsräder der Züge greifen seitlich an dieses Profil und sorgen somit für die
Fortbewegung und Führung. Die Anlage wurde 1974 im "Phantasialand"
eröffnet und war bis zur Saison 2008 in Betrieb.

This "Monorail" was made by Schwarzkopf. In my opinion, it is one of the finest ever created. This counts for the smooth designed, airconditioned trains as well as for the track. The track consists of a big support pipe featuring L-profiles on both sides. The trains have ordinary, air-filled rubber tires which run silently on the L-profiles. A third profile is mounted on the top of the pipe. This profile is attached by the horizontally mounted drive wheels of the trains. That moves the train and gives friction, too. The ride opened to the public in 1974 at "Phantasialand" and operated at the park until the season of 2008. The pictures of
