konstruierte drei verschiedene Versionen des "Calypso". Zwischen den einzelnen
Ausführungen lagen Jahre, deshalb bekamen die Nachfolger wohl auch nicht die
Bezeichnungen "Calypso II" und "Calypso III". Die oben gezeigte,
zweite Version hat, wie auch die erste, 4 Gondelräder á 4 Gondeln und eine für diese
Zeit typische, holzverplankte Radscheibe. Die Gondeln erinnern sehr an Autoscooterchaisen. Ich bedanke mich bei Lawrie Vartiainen für die Fotos, die im Sommer 1997 im "Tykkimaki" Park in Finnland entstanden. |

constructed three different types of the "Calypso" ride. Between these types
were years so the second and third one weren't called "Calypso 2" and
"Calypso III". The above pictured, second version features 4 gondola-wheels with
each 4 gondolas and a wooden-planked turntable, which is typical for that time. The
gondolas look similar to autoscooter-cars. I have to thank Lawrie Vartiainen for the pictures which were taken in summer 1997 at "Tykkimaki" Park in Finnland. |
